The
following is an excerpt from Ross' book:
Hello. My name is Ross Romenesko and I’m a
cancer survivor. I wrote this poem when I was 7 years old. When I was 6, I was
diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma. I just celebrated my 10th year of
remission. I’ve gone through stuff like chemotherapy, a seizure, a 106 degree
temperature and two surgeries. Now I’m in 12th grade. I’m getting good
grades, playing on a competitive soccer team, playing the trombone, and loving
life.
